He comes from the Kikuyu region of Kenya. It is a thermophilic species with excellent resistance to salinity, drought and pressure. It grows and establishes quickly, which is why it prevails over other types of grass. It grows with stolons and underground rhizomes creating a thick impervious mat that is capable of surviving heavy use conditions. Very good resistance to shade, with minimal watering and fertilizing needs. Great for golf courses, driveways, gardens and parks.
